DJ Gaskin has placed poetry and prose with Zillah, The Fairfield Review, freefall, Literary Salt, Avocet, Switched-On Gutenberg, WordWrights, National Public Radio, The Washington Post and others and has two poems in the recently released anthology Liberated Muse Vol. 1: How I Freed My Soul (available at Outskirts Press and also Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com). DJ is the creator of the Poetry as Healing Art expressive poetry workshops, which she has conducted with teens in addiction recovery and adults in various settings. Recently assembling over 80 of her poems into a full-length book manuscript, she’s now busy courting publishers for that project, while also working on her never-ending novel.

DJ’s 'slip-jewel' journals, 'threads of life' journals and line of handmade ‘haikugami’ (haiku/origami) greeting cards sell exclusively through a couple of art & fine-craft galleries in the Washington DC area (or via inquiry).
